Loma Linda Animal Hospital Inc. was built in 1963 by Dr. Charles Hunter. In 1968 Dr. Sigdestad purchased the animal hospital and expanded its services from small animal to large animals, birds, and exotics. The hospital has expanded twice over the years. Today Loma Linda Animal Hospital inc. is a "One Stop Shop" for animal care employing twenty-four people. The hospital provides grooming, boarding, pet supplies, and animal food. Animal chiropractic care, ultrasound and animal communicator services are also provided. Drop off services allow clients to drop off their pet at 6:30am and pick them up by 7:00pm.
 
Loma Linda Animal Hospital provides services to help the community. Low cost vaccine clinics are provided. Animals adopted at animal shelters are given free exams. Low cost neuter surgery is provided for animals that are adopted from animal shelters. Puppy and kitten placement services are provided at no charge. Guide Dogs for the Blind are taken care of at a reduced rate. Dr. Sigdestad is involved in research and development of new drugs where he has performed field studies for pharmaceutical companies on over 400 cases. He was instrumental in developing a Pet Grief Recovery Program with Loma Linda University which is growing in the number of clients served.
 
The hospital helps many individuals in the community prepare themselves for employment in the animal care profession. Positions for intern Animal Health Technicians are provided. The hospital has employed many students who have become veterinarians. The hospital cooperates with area schools by providing openings for students in work experience programs, ROP, and programs for the handicapped.
 

Loma Linda Animal Hospital is a full-service hospital that specializes in every aspect of veterinary care, as well as a boarding kennel and groomer. The services include large and small animal pharmacy, large and small animal supplies, boarding, prescription diets, comprehensive dental capability, chiropractic care, and orthopedic care. The hospital treats cats, dogs, horses, exotics, reptiles, birds, and ferrets.

Our goal is simply to be of service to you and to provide your pets with the higest quality veterinary medical and surgical care available. We offer this service for large and small animals, birds and exotics.

We Realize when your pet requires hospitalization, it is a very emotional time for you as well as your pet. Your pet is under close observation and excellent care. All patients are examined and treated by our doctor. If your pet is having difficulties we will call you as soon as possible.
